This is the opening lesson of the Healthy Minds Foundation module. It introduces students to the concept of resilience, the skills that help us navigate the inevitable ups and downs of life.

Learning Outcomes

Outcome 1:

Understand that life is a journey with challenges and that resilience helps us overcome them.

Outcome 2:

Understand the role of positive emotion in supporting wellbeing and resilience.

Outcome 3:

Recognise that emotions can be helpful and unhelpful, and that we can learn to regulate them.

Outcome 4:

Know that WE ALL HAVE RESILIENCE — it is not something only some people have.
